Vom 28. September bis 1. Oktober 2010 trifft sich in Düsseldorf zur glasstec wieder die internationale Glasbranche zu ihrer bedeutendsten Veranstaltung. Auch in diesem Jahr ist das Angebot von Glasma- maschinenbau, Glasindustrie und dem Glaserhandwerk einzigartig vollständig und die Zahl der erwarteten Innovationen hoch. Hinzu kommen ein unter anderem um die Themen Fassade und konstruktiver Glasbau er-weitertes Rahmenprogramm sowie die Angebote der neuen Messe solarpeq für solare Produktionstechnik.

Glas wird als Werkstoff in der Architektur im Außen- wie Innenbereich immer bedeutender. Schon das breite Angebot der Aussteller aus den Bereichen Glasindustrie, Glasmaschinenbau und Glaserhandwerk macht die glasstec als weltweit bedeutendste Glasfachmesse äußerst attraktiv für Architekten, Bauingenieure Fassadenplaner und verwandte Berufsfelder.

Bereits in den letzten Jahren waren die Sonderschau „glass technology live“ und das dazugehörige Symposium sowie der Architektenkongress und die Ausstellung „glass art“ zu Publikumsmagneten der glasstec geworden. In diesem Jahr erwartet die Besucher nun ein deutlich erweitertes Rahmenprogramm zur weltweit bedeutendsten Glasfachmesse. Das „FassadenCenter“, der neue Kongress „engineered transparency“ sowie ein vielfältiges Programm für Handwerker ergänzen das etablierte Angebot.

Martin Gregor Gutmann, Bundesinnungsmeister des Glaserhandwerks, ist Präsident der glasstec 2010. Er wurde dem Beirat der glasstec 2010 anlässlich der letzten Sitzung offiziell vorgestellt und folgt auf Paul Neeteson, der das Amt zur glasstec 2008 inne hatte.

Die glasstec 2010 bietet Ausstellern und Besuchern eine umfassend überarbeitete Struktur. Als einzige internationale Fachmesse, die den gesamten Wertschöpfungsprozess Glas in all seinen Facetten abbildet, transportiert die glasstec dies zukünftig mit dem neuen Untertitel: „Glass Production – Processing – Products“. Im Rahmen des neuen Konzeptes wird die glasstec zudem gestrafft und um den Samstag verkürzt. Damit wird den Wünschen zahlreicher Aussteller entsprochen. Als Spiegel des Glasmarktes trägt die glasstec 2010 ergänzend einem Segment Rechnung, das sich durch eine besonders dynamische Entwicklung in der letzten Zeit auszeichnet: der solaren Produktionstechnik.

An der Spitze der glasstec steht ein Wechsel an: Birgit Horn (36), die bisherige Vertriebsleiterin von DüsseldorfCongress, übernimmt ab dem Frühjahr nächsten Jahres die Projektleitung für die weltweit bedeutendste Messe der Glasbranche.

At glasstec 2010, the “Made-in-China” pavilion organized by Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd, composed of 25 Chinese manufacturers will present their range of products and services on 518 sqm in Hall 10 to their clients from the globe. Their exhibits to be showcased are covering the full range of glass industry, from glass production, production technology, glass processing and finishing, to glass products and applications, tools, replacement and spare parts, aucillary equipment and fittings.

From 28 September to 1 October 2010 the international glass sector will meet again at its foremost event glasstec in Düsseldorf. Once again this year the ranges for glass machinery manufacturing, the glass industry and glazier trade will be unrivalled in terms of their completeness and the number of expected innovations will be high. Add to this a programme of side events also extended to address façade and structural glass building plus the ranges on display for solar production equipment at the new trade fair solarpeq.

Glass is becoming ever more important as a construction material in architecture both indoor and out. The wide range of exhibitors from the fields of the glass industry, glass machine building and the skilled glazier trade make glasstec, the world’s leading glass trade fair, extremely attractive for architects, construction engineers, façade planners and related professions.

In recent years the “glass technology live” special show and the accompanying symposium along with the Architects’ Conference and the “glass art” exhibition have already become major public attractions at glasstec. This year visitors can now expect a clearly extended support programme at the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry. The “FaçadesCentre”, the new “engineered transparency” Congress and a diverse programme for craftsmen complement the established range.

Martin Gregor Gutmann, Guild Master of the Federal Association of Glazier Trades, has been appointed President of glasstec 2010. He was officially introduced to the Advisory Board of glasstec 2010 on the occasion of its latest meeting and succeeds Paul Neeteson, who held this office for glasstec 2008.

glasstec 2010 now offers exhibitors and visitors a comprehensively revised structure. As the only international trade fair reflecting the entire value chain of glass in all its facets glasstec will convey this USP in future under the new sub-heading: “Glass Production – Processing – Products“. As part of the new concept glasstec will also be streamlined and the Saturday will be cut. This meets the wishes voiced by numerous exhibitors. As a mirror of the glass market glasstec 2010 will now also be catering to a segment that has seen particularly dynamic development in recent times: solar production technology.

Top management at glasstec is about to change: Birgit Horn (36), currently a Sales Manager at DüsseldorfCongress, is to take over as Project Director for the world’s most important trade fair for the glass industry from spring next year.
