Qualitative differentiation in the food retail industry created by the improved visibility of product presentation with transparent doors.
In order to remain competitive, the food retail industry must win over its customers both with their product range and how it is presented. New shop fitting concepts designed to evoke emotions since customers will mainly shop where they feel good. Consumers are spoilt for choice with the huge numbers of supermarkets, including online. Transparency is highly important in shop fitting as it creates a better product display and thus establishes good customer visibility. Frameless doors for semi-vertical chillers help in the implementation of the new shop fitting concept.
In this regard, SCHOTT offers a wide range of swing, sliding and automatic doors for chillers, which provides the food retail industry with a differentiating product presentation concept. At this year's Chillventa in Nuremberg, Germany the innovation leader SCHOTT is presenting three new door designs, all of which allow improved visibility of products and give the customer a convenient shopping experience.
Innovations at the refrigerated counter
For example, SCHOTT Termofrost® Smart Access is a touchless automatic door opening system. This hygienic and space saving solution as well as the system - SCHOTT Termofrost® Smart Look offer 100% transparency and therefore unrestricted product visibility with their frameless design. This is fresher and clearer for customers, retailers can stand out from the competition with improved orientation at the point of sale and create an innovative shopping experience for their customers. SCHOTT also offers transparency for half-height chillers: The SVD sliding door range is available both in curved and flat glass panels and their low height facilitates in-store orientation. A ball-bearing roller ensures gentle opening and closing. All models are functional elements for simple stocking and cleaning.

SCHOTT has been a reliable partner for chiller manufacturers for many years: "Regardless of the shop fitting concept, we offer the appropriate solutions and always have our eye on upcoming trends. The food retail industry will benefit from our solutions. Closed refrigerated cabinets ultimately have a positive effect on the indoor climate, and with our new transparent doors, the retailer can also create a distinctive shop design."
