The Natural Choice: Guardian Introduces UltraClear Glass to its SunGuard Product Portfolio

Guardian Introduces UltraClear Glass

Düsseldorf, Germany – September 24, 2014 – Guardian Europe will showcase its UltraClearTM glass available for all SunGuard advanced architectural glass coatings at Glasstec, the world’s largest class trade show. Guardian UltraClear is a float glass with higher transparency and colour neutrality. The advantages are clear to the naked eye: better visibility, higher clarity and extraordinary elegance.

“We have been extremely successful in marketing our SunGuard product range on our ExtraClear glass,” says Sidney Vastenhout, Commercial Segment Leader at Guardian Europe. “Now we have added the even higher performing UltraClear glass to our SunGuard portfolio to enable architects to benefit from the natural beauty of this glass and maximize light transmission, particularly in modern triple glazed and double skin facades. When true colour and clarity count, UltraClear is the ideal base glass.”

UltraClear can be tempered, laminated and painted just like regular float glass and can be used virtually anywhere regular float glass is used. UltraClear provides a dramatic improvement when used in laminated applications. Far from the colour distortion and reduced light transmission that could result from a conventional laminated glass, UltraClear allows for the strength and security of laminated glass without sacrificing clarity and colour.

The SunGuard products on UltraClear glass will be marketed as SunGuard Ultra and will be on display at Glasstec in Dusseldorf, Germany, on Oct. 21 to 24, hall 10 at stand F43 and Glass Technology Live area.
