Thorsten Kock

Bez + Kock Architekten, Stuttgart/D

Thorsten Kock was born in in 1966, completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter, is owner of the architecture firm Bez + Kock Architekten BDA. He studied at the University of Stuttgart with Boris Podrecca and Jürgen Joedicke and – as a Fulbright scholarship student – at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta/Georgia/USA. His work won multiple awards, including BDA prizes and "best architects". He runs his office together with Martin Bez and around 40 employees. The focus of his work is public buildings. He lectured at the University of Stuttgart, and the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta/Georgia/USA, and is currently a lecturer at the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart [University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart].
