Partnership to provide coatings solutions

Finnish industrial equipment supplier Beneq and Fives Stein of France have joined forces to form a partnership in which Fives Stein acts as an integrator of Beneq’s glass coating technology and equipment.

The joint venture enables the application of Beneq’s nHALO proprietary flame spray technology into float glass production lines and off-line coating systems.

Beneq’s nanoparticle-based coating technology coupled with Fives Stein’s strong presence in the glass industry makes for a partnership in which glass producers and processors will benefit from advanced coating solutions for their products.

François Pahmer, Fives Stein’s Vice President Sales – Glass and Environment Division, said that the partnership was an exciting prospect and that Beneq’s coating technologies could “deliver innovative products and functional glass surfaces for the traditional architectural market and for the growing photovoltaic applications”.
