Vitro enters French market

Vitro has completed the acquisition of French company Verre et Glaces d’Epinary by its European subsidiary, Vitro Cristalglass.

The new company, named Vitro Cristalglass France SAS and located in Paris, is to focus on the conversion and commercialisation of flat glass to supply the medium sized construction and residential markets in France.

With its manufacturing facilities, the company will be capable of meeting its French customers’ requirements that were previously met by exports from Spain.

Federico Sada, Chief Executive Officer of Vitro, said of the acquisition: “We are very proud to have positioned Vitro directly in the French market and by doing so extended our geographic base in Europe while fortifying our presence in the segment of products and value-added services.”
