Hotbels BTU award honours lifetime contribution

Annual glass industry seminar Hotbels, sponsored by Hotwork USA and Fosbel, saw the presentation of the Business and Technology United (BTU) award to Mike Nelson for a lifetime of contribution to the glass industry worldwide.

Mr Nelson’s achievements include submitting several technical papers to various glass and ceramic forums. His career spans positions at both PPG Industries and Corhart Refractories, in areas including plant process engineering, research and development, product management and applications engineering.

The 23rd annual Hotbels seminar was held on April 9th and 10th in Kentucky, USA and featured a number of presentations by glass industry suppliers.
