Gruber Joins Schott Solar as EVP

Schott Solar CSP Inc. announced recently the appointment of Richard Gruber as its executive vice president of sales and business development.

In his new role, Gruber will be responsible for leading sales and business development for the company in the US, an important global market for concentrated solar power (CSP), according to the company.

Prior to joining the company, he served as vice president of project development at First Solar. There he oversaw the development and financing of its US photovoltaic power plant. Before that, he worked for more than 20 years focusing on the development of conventional generation and transmission infrastructures across the US.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Schott Group, Schott Solar has more than 50 years of experience in the solar industry, manufacturing photovoltaics and providing know-how in receiver technology for solar power plants.
