TROSIFOL improves acoustic film Decisive plus for greater efficiency and less noise
Kuraray Europe GmbH, Division TROSIFOL
Sound insulation with TROSIFOL SOUND CONTROL (SC) is now better than ever before. At glasstec 2010 in Düsseldorf, the TROSIFOL Division of Kuraray Europe GmbH is presenting an improved version of its own sound protection film, the new “SC+”. It significantly enhances the efficiency of the commercial-scale production of acoustic laminated safety glass.
The improved efficiency of the new multi-layer TROSIFOL SC+ PVB film will particularly benefit high-performance processors specializing in jumbo widths. Combinations with white translucent, coloured or colourless TROSIFOL PVB films are of course possible. The new SC+ film thus extends the existing TROSIFOL sound protection range to include a productivity-boosting variant without compromising on the accustomed outstanding optical properties of clarity, transparency and light stability.
TROSIFOL SC+ is a multi-layer film developed specifically for efficient processing and displays its huge advantages particularly in the high-performance processing of jumbo widths. This makes it the ideal complement to TROSIFOL’s existing sound protection range. It goes without saying that the outstanding sound insulation values combined with the familiar safety characteristics are retained by the film’s new multi-layer composition. In composition 44.2, laminated safety glass satisfies safety class P2A in conformity with EN 356 and class 1B1 in conformity with EN 12600. Test certificates from MPA Darmstadt can be furnished on request.
In corresponding ISO glazing and depending on composition, a laminated safety glass (LSG) produced with SC+ achieves sound insulation values of up to 50 dB. This enables glass processers to produce LSG with outstanding acoustic and safety characteristics in a process identical to that for the proven TROSIFOL BG range.
TROSIFOL SC+ is available in a roll width of 3.21 m and a roll length of 230 metres as a cooling film. It is 0.76 millimetres thick.
The new film was launched in the first half of 2010 and is to be presented to the broad trade public at this year’s glasstec.
