Armstrong Glass Company was established in 1977 at a time when demand for stained glass and art glass was very high. The producers at that time had large backlogs of orders and lacked the capacity to fill them in a timely manner. The founders of Armstrong Glass Company saw an opportunity and began production of a very limited range of colors. During the first year of production, only 20 colors were made successfully. Since that time Armstrong Glass Company has evolved into one of the major suppliers to the worldwide stained glass and art glass market. We now manufacture almost five hundred colors and color combinations in our standard line of art glass. Armstrong offers beautiful and unique textured glass for those designs that require something special. Armstrong Iridescent glass is offered in over 60 standard colors. Each sheet of Armstrong Glass is individually mixed by hand. This means that every sheet of glass will have a unique character although it will contain the same colors. Because each sheet is hand mixed, Armstrong is able to offer many four, five and six color combinations that you simply will not find anywhere else. In 2004 Armstrong introduced Float Fire 82Ò, our new line of float glass compatible fusing glass. This blockbuster product opens up entirely new opportunities in making decorative tableware, tabletops, tiles, bowls and just about anything else you can imagine. |
