Dr. Schenk's GlassInspect for coated glass inspection detects defects and irregularities that occur in coating layers and on the glass substrate while being processed.

GlassMeasure continuously examines 100% of the glass surface to monitor overall physical properties such as coating thickness and homogeneity, color variation, haze or surface topology.

GlassInspect for coating glass inspection is used for local defect detection, including:

Multiplexing between different camera channels and illuminations enables a single  camera to inspect the glass for defects and distinguish between core and distortion size, detect tin drops (top and bottom), and reams and ream knot defects.

TCO/Molybdenum Coating inspection

In sputtering or vaporisation processes the coating layers are deposited microscopically thin onto the glass substrates. To guarantee high electrical conductivity, the coating layers must be deposited without any defects, contaminations or unacceptable thickness variations.

Dr. Schenk's GlassInspect for laminated glass inspection detects defects and irregularities that occur within the lamination layer(s) and on the glass substrates  during the production of e.g. automotive and architectural glass with protective features.

GlassMeasure continuously examines 100% of the glass surface to monitor overall physical properties such as coating thickness  and homogeneity, color variation, haze or surface topology.

Although glass panels for laminated products are already inspected in the float glass production line,  for high end applications the single panels are checked again before bonding  together.  Imperfect glass sheets can be rejected from the line  before the costly laminating process starts.

Dr. Schenk's GlassInspect for structured solar glass inspection detects defects and irregularities that occur during the production of patterned glass or structured glass  for solar panels.

GlassMeasure continuously examines 100% of the solar glass surface to monitor physical material properties over a large area.

The main challenge in structured glass inspection is that the surface structure used for glass substrates of silicon solar modules creates similar or even stronger optical signals than the actual defects. GlassInspect for structured solar glass inspection is able  to precisely distinguish between glass structure and defects,  covering 100 %of the material surface including the edges. It can eliminate nearly all of the "optical disturbances" from the surface structure.
