NOGRID pointsBlow is a simulation software that was developed especially for the glass container industry. It computes the container forming process in furll 3D and is able to simulate the following kinds of container glass forming processes:
- BB (Blow and Blow) - PB (Press and Blow) - NNPB (Narrow Neck Press and Blow) - PB (Press and Blow for the tableware industry)
The simulation starts with gob loading and ends at take out - just like in reality. There are no limits regarding the container design - the shape can be each possible 3D shape (for example a bottle with a handle or perfume bottles)
NOGRID points is a simulation software for simulation tasks in the wide area of flow and continuum mechanical problems. Applications are for example mixing in Chemical and Food Industry, refrigerator foaming in the Polymer Industry or spinning, pressing, floating (and more...) in the Glass Industry. NOGRID points is based on the meshless Finite Pointset Method (FPM), it doesn't require a grid or mesh for simulation, in contrast o classical numerical methods. It can excellently be applied in case of all problems, where grid-based method reach their limits due to the necessary remeshing.

In the year of founding NOGRID started with a new, unique CFD software for the simulation of flows: NOGRID points, based on FPM (Finite Pointset Method). This FPM method has been developed before at the Fraunhofer-Institute in Kaiserslautern and has been intensively extended and validated since then. It is used in many companies.
In the meantime NOGRID has put a second new and professional CFD software product on the market, especially for the container glass industry: NOGRID pointsBlow. This software simulates the process of container glass forming and shows the results in full 3D.
