Hydrogen

HyGear supplies hydrogen in the most affordable and reliable way, by combining our flexible on-site production technologies with traditional gas distribution. Based on the required quantity, quality and location of the end-user, HyGear will provide the most cost-effective and reliable solution for the customer. Our hydrogen production technology is based on highly efficient small-scale steam reforming.

Hydrogen gas is mostly used in the industry to create a reductive atmosphere, or used as energy carrier in fuel cell applications. Our hydrogen can be applied in various industries, processes and applications, such as float glass production.

Total Gas Supply for the glass industry

A reliable supply of industrial gases plays a vital role in producing high quality flat glass. The most common are hydrogen and nitrogen for the tin bath and oxygen in case of oxy-fired furnaces. Currently, these gases are mainly supplied by electrolysis or road transportation of compressed or liquefied gas.

HyGear offers a package of on-site gas production technologies that make transportation of gases obsolete. Decentralised gas production is a safer, more reliable and cost attractive alternative to conventional gas supply methods.

HyGear supplies industrial gases using advanced energy- and cost saving technologies. Due to our flexible on-site generators combined with conventional gas supply, we are a cost competitive and reliable gas supply partner for the industry.

Hydrogen
HyGear supplies hydrogen in small bulk quantities by installing on-site hydrogen generation systems. These hydrogen generators are based on highly efficient Steam Reform Technology. More information about this technology is on the page Hy.GEN®. Our hydrogen supply is flexible in terms of purity, flow and contracting. Worldwide support is guaranteed by our remote monitoring and 24/7 service contracts.

Nitrogen & Oxygen
In order to offer total gas supply to our customers, HyGear also offers nitrogen and oxygen supply on-site. Our nitrogen and oxygen generators are based on cost-effective (vacuum) PSA-technology. The flow and purity of our N.GEN® and O.GEN® systems can be tailored to the customer’s needs.

Total Gas supply
HyGear combines the gas supply from on-site gas generation systems with conventional distribution methods, to offer maximum reliability against minimum costs. The products are offered as stand-alone systems or as part of an integrated package of solutions (total gas supply), including the entire gas mixing and delivery system, tailored to the customers’ needs. Our main references are in the flat glass industry, lighting and metal treatment industry.

To further reduce costs, our Hy.REC® gas recycling technology can be installed to recover the spent gases from the process. The opportunities lie in the reduction of the operational costs of utilities and therefore fit well with the industry’s aim of energy and cost savings.
