Wet electrostatic precipitator

High efficiency by wet cleaning
Wet type electrostatic precipitators are used where aerosol-solid mixes have to be separated with high efficiency. Today wet type electrostatic precipitators with a high cost-benefit ratio are considered especially for separating:

aerosols
fine dusts
resin vapors 
blue haze
paint mists
oil vapors
odours

Our plants are characterized by a number of outstanding properties:

high separation rate, with clean gas solid content up to < 1 mg/m³

Dry type electrostatic precipitators today are considered the most economical system for solving dust collecting problems, as any dry dust generated can be disposed of without difficulty. System combination

As a result of continuous developments a lot of improvements and patents can be offered in consideration of economic aspects. Those EWK systems offer a high efficiency in the separation of particles, Blue Haze, SOx, HF, HCl and NOx.

The burning of biological fuels, (wood, straw, biogas etc.) as well as fossil fuels (heating oil, natural gas, heavy oil, coal) and industrial waste (solvent, sewage sludge, explosive, refuse and industrial residue etc.) generates large amounts of the following substances even in the most advanced furnaces:

Nitric oxide NOx
Carbon monoxide CO
Hydrocarbons CmHn
Dioxin / Furan PCDD / PCDF

With the SCR catalyser technology these air pollutants can be precipitated to a large degree and converted to N2, CO2, H2O.

Modular construction
The EWK reactors consist of modules set in stainless steel casings with insulation.
This permits an individual assembly depending upon the kind of pollutant and pollutant concentration.
Individual adaption to local requirements.
Compact and economical construction.

Company details

EWK is a medium sized company with a tradition for 135 years. The company was created in 1868 of Albert Munziger and later renamed ZSCHOCKE WERKE by the new owner, Gottfried Zschocke. At the time the ZSCHOCKE company was already well-known far beyond Kaiserslautern, Rheinland-Pfalz and Germany, particular for its wooden cooling towers for water recooling and combined gas purification systems

So we have been a competent partner as suppliers of exhaust air, waste gas and process gas purifying systems in all questions of environmental protection for many decades. We offer proven technology and system approaches under economic and ecological criteria.

The head office of EWK Umwelttechnik GmbH is in Kaiserslautern, a city with 100,000 inhabitants, shaped by companies such as Opel, Pfaff, Pfeiffer, AWK (today ACO), a university and a technical college.
