EnduroShield Easy Clean Glass Treatment

EnduroShield Easy Clean Glass Treatment - glass stays cleaner for longer, and is protected against staining and etching.

EnduroShield is the smart choice for glass surfaces. A permanent*, ultra-thin, transparent coating that completely adheres to the glass surface which is both water and oil repellent, providing a reduction of the frequency and time spent cleaning.

Developed with cutting edge nanotechnology, the coating is applied by many of the world's leading glass companies and is backed by a true 10 year performance warranty. At a minimal cost per square metre the treatment to the glass can be applied by major glass fabricators utilising fully automated machine options, or in situ to installed glass using manual or semi-automated spray options.

The benefits of EnduroShield include:

• Durability tested, once-only application

• User friendly and suitable for all types of glass

• Protects glass against corrosion and etching from contaminants

• Protects glass against etching and pitting from cement slurry during construction

• Provides a real cost saving on maintenance for the client, whilst providing a noticeably cleaner surface between cleans.

EnduroShield Windshield Rain Repellent

“EnduroShield formula takes the honours in this test as it delivers remarkable stamina. Throughout our assessment, this product showed no sign of flagging.”
UK’s Auto Express Magazine’s performance test for rain repellent products.

EnduroShield uses state-of-the-art nanotechnology to transform automotive glass into a high performance, ultra-long lasting rain repellent surface. This non-stick, invisible, smart barrier turns rainwater into smaller beads which are easily swept away by the wind, ensuring clearer vision in wet-weather driving.

Repels rain, dirt, and oily road grime

Reduces response time in wet weather driving

Improved night vision

Allows easier removal of dirt, grime and bugs

In snow conditions, the repellent nature of the EnduroShield coating also reduces the surface adhesion of snow and ice, allowing easier removal.

The effect of EnduroShield is similar to that of a non-stick frypan, where external particles are repelled and the surface is left clean.

EnduroShield Auto Glass is effective on new and old windshields.

One World Trade Center, New York USA

One World Trade Center (previously known as Freedom Tower) is the primary building of the new World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York. The 104-story super tall skyscraper stands on the northwest corner of the 16 acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site, occupying the location of what used to be the original 6 World Trade Center.

On May 10, 2013, the final component of the antenna was installed atop the skyscraper, tentatively making One World Trade Center the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the third-tallest building in the world by pinnacle height. Commemorating with its the year of the United States Declaration of Independence, the antenna reaches the symbolic height of 1,776 feet.

On March 30, 2009, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed that the building will be known by its legal name, One World Trade Center, rather than the colloquial name, Freedom Tower. The construction is part of an effort to memorialize and rebuild following the destruction of the original World Trade Center complex during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

A major EnduroShield glass partner in North America, supplied the high end glass panels of the buildings 408-foot, 758 ton spire.
The EnduroShield glass treatment was applied to the exterior side of the glass panels of the Spire which will also be utilized as a world-class broadcast antenna.

The EnduroShield glass treatment was sprayed onto the glass panels in factory before the glass was installed into the antenna’s steel frame structure. EnduroShield chemically bonds to the glass substrate, transforming the glass into a high performance, hydrophobic surface, and protecting the surface against staining and etching.

Bombay Sapphire Distillery, Hampshire UK

Prominent gin-makers Bombay Sapphire commissioned the creation of the company's first in-house production facility at an old Victorian paper mill in Laverstoke, Hampshire, on a 20,000sqm rural property along the southern coast of England. The abandoned 18th century paper mill's original brick buildings were converted into the distillery, while a pair of phenomenal curved glass greenhouses were added to house the 10 tropical and Mediterranean botanicals used to create the world famous gin.

Throughout the renovation process, Bombay Sapphire and architects Heatherwick Studio were dedicated to creating a sustainable and efficient distillery which upheld the heritage of the site. In recognition of this, the gin distillery was awarded the highly prestigious BREEAM (Building Research Establishment's Environmental Assessment Method) Award for Industrial Design.

The state-of-the-art facility has been recognised as the first distillery and first refurbishment to achieve an 'Outstanding' design-stage BREEAM accreditation. The centrepiece of the award winning distillery is the amazing greenhouse designed by Thomas Hetherwick. It is made up of two glasshouses which extend from the distillery, using recycled air from the distillation process to maintain a warm climate within. The glasshouses also take full advantage of advances in glass technology, one of which is EnduroShield's easy clean nanotechnology. The EnduroShield coated glass utilised in this remarkable structure is synonymous with the development's eco strategy; not only does EnduroShield protect the glass form staining and etching but also helps to reduce environmental and monetary costs from ongoing maintenance.

EnduroShield easy clean surface treatment for glass was applied onto the swooping glasshouse structures so that water and contaminants bead right off, reducing cleaning time and frequency. EnduroShield chemically bonds to the glass substrate, transforming it into a high performance hydrophobic surface which will protect against staining, and reduce the effort and regularity of maintenance.

The spectacular Bombay Sapphire Distillery project, with its strong environmental focus, is at the forefront of eco-conscious architecture. Bombay Sapphire have also commented that the sustainability measures taken during the design and construction process have fundamental financial sense, increasing efficiency with ongoing savings in operational energy and water costs well into the future.
