Durable thermally optimised edge bond solutions

Technoform Glass Insulation designs, develops and produces durable thermally optimised edge bond solutions as well as special components for its customers and markets. At Glasstec, the company will be presenting a new warm edge spacer – the TGI-Spacer Precision– as well as a sustainable variant of the proven TGI-Spacer M.

The trend towards nearly zero-energy houses and the increasing functionality of building envelopes have placed new demands on the building components used and require the systematic further development of window, door and façade systems.

By means of a special production process, Technoform Glass Insulation has created a solution to these requirements: the TGI-Spacer Precision.

The spacer is characterised by extremely low manufacturing tolerances. As a result, fluctuations in thermal values are minimised, ensuring that designers and customers have a reliable basis for their calculations. The TGI-Spacer Precision represents a significant contribution towards dimensional accuracy and register accuracy of window and façade systems. Its optimum combination of materials enables the lowest possible U values to be achieved in the system as a whole while its stability also makes it suitable for large window units and triple glazing. High process reliability and a high-quality look complete the package.
 
The growing importance of building certification systems such as e.g. BREEAM and LEED and the increasing shortage of raw materials have led to a rise in the demand for materials which are sustainably produced, guarantee a long-term supply and can be recycled in an environmentally-friendly manner. Technoform Glass Insulation has developed sustainable solutions to these trends by implementing a comprehensive environmental management system and continuously observing the market.
