Trina Solar Limited (NYSE: TSL) ("Trina Solar" or the "Company"), a global leader in photovoltaic ("PV") modules, solutions, and services will be participating in the Solar Show Africa 2016 on March 15 and 16, 2016, for the fourth consecutive year.
A variety of Trina Solar’s products will be on display at exhibition stand F3, with a specific focus on its durable Duomax module that is ideal for the harsh climate conditions of the African continent. During the two-day show, Stefan Ringbeck, Product Manager at Trina Solar, will be offering several free product training sessions and answer relevant questions.
Since Trina Solar opened a local warehouse in Pretoria in October, 2014, a significant step in cementing its presence in South Africa, the Company has managed to build a solid customer base and position itself as the partner of choice among installers, developers and distributors, thanks to its superior quality products, extensive sales and service network, and experienced local staff in South Africa and across the continent.
Recently, Trina Solar was named as the most bankable PV module manufacturer globally by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF). In the survey ran by BNEF, key PV stakeholders were asked which PV module brands they considered bankable out of a list of 50. Topping the list was Trina Solar, which confirms the Company's leading position in the PV market.
The product highlight at the Trina Solar booth (stand F3) this year includes the Duomax module. This 2.5mm heat-strengthened glass comprises of two layers, built to withstand the harsh African climate. The Duomax module is a highly reliable and durable PV product, offering high levels of resistance to degradation. The Duomax meets the most stringent PID testing conditions of 1500V system voltage under relative humidity of 85% and a temperature of 85°C for 192 hours. Cost-effective, the Duomax modules reduce installation costs as it is not necessary to use system grounding. The frameless Duomax module comes in 60-cell and 72-cell versions and is suitable for both utility scale power plants and Distributed Generation PV systems.
Virtual Journey to the Trina Solar Campus
“This year, we will invite our partners and clients at the Solar Show Africa to take a look behind the scenes of R&D and production by taking a virtual journey directly to the Trina Solar campus”, says Álvaro García-Maltrás, Sales Director for Trina Solar South Europe and Africa.
Using the latest virtual reality (VR) technology, Trina Solar will provide partners and customers with a completely new experience taking them on a guided visit through the company's integrated campus as well as its renowned R&D laboratory. VR glasses will transport visitors to the middle of the production facilities where they will get even closer to production than in real life due to strict clean room requirements.
