Asahi Glass Company (AGC) has partnered with Rolith Inc to develop advanced anti-reflective glass.
The glass being developed by Rolith and AGC is based on the ‘moth eye’ approach found in nature – a number of nanostructures mimicking an insect’s eye.
Rolith will bring its Rolling Mask manufacturing method to the project, which enables nanostructures to be created on large area glass panels.
The companies said the nano structured anti-reflective glass reduces reflections in a wide wavelength spectrum and a wider range of viewing angles over traditional PVD thin films coated glass.
