A new material, with superior thermal insulation and resistance as well as improved energy efficiency, was needed.
The THERMOTECT ceramic furnace material, launched by AGCC in 2010, resolves all those issues. First, its heat resistance is over 1600℃, the industry maximum. It’s heat insulation after prolonged operation at high temperature. After several years, current materials such as thermal insulating bricks and fiber-added insulating materials wear at the seams, or crack due to expansion and contraction, causing heat leakages. But as THERMOTECT is granular mixed with water and shaped to suit the furnace, and suppresses thermal expansion, its insulation holds even after long period of use. It meets the requirements for glass furnace material.
