Continuous Improvement & New Developments Manager at AUFGC, Madhu Kuttanchery Madhavan said:"AUFGC is a part of a large industrial park in Yanbu. Light & heavy industries coexist here and are interdependent for energy, utility gases and water though self reliant in their own operation. Therefore we recognise our part in an overall commitment to alleviate environmental impact. It is very important to understand an environmental footprint to find our position and possibly to track down the effect of initiatives already taken. The carbon footprint assessment by Carbon-Expert will definitely help us with this and also inspire us to discover untapped dimensions."
Moya McKeown, Business Development Manager at Carbon- Expert said: "Businesses can gain a strong strategic advantage, generate more business value and cut costs, by firstly understanding their current carbon position, taking action to reduce carbon emissions through good practice and the implementation of a carbon management policy, and achieve zero net carbon by offsetting residual carbon emissions. Businesses worldwide recognise that, offsetting provides them with a real opportunity to meet their carbon neutral objective and take full responsibility of their environmental impact."
