CGI International Brings Fire Glass Solutions to Glasstec 2012
CGI International, Europe’s leading independent manufacturer of fire resistant glazing products, will be using Glasstec 2012 (Dusseldorf, 23rd – 26th October 2012) as the platform from which to unveil the latest enhancements to its Pyroguard range of fire glass solutions. As a company that is committed to ongoing fire testing programmes in all key markets, CGI International provides access to one of the most widely certified product ranges for the UK, Ireland, France, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. At Glasstec 2012, CGI International will launch the most recent series of improvements to the test evidence that is available for EW and EI rated Pyroguard glass. David Jolliffe, CGI International Managing Director, comments: “Glasstec is a global stage where we can showcase the very latest additions and enhancements to our market-leading Pyroguard range of fire glass solutions. We have come a long way since the last Glasstec event, when we launched the Pyroguard EW30 Impact Fire Glass, which is the only 2B2 rated, UV stable 7mm product that can be cut by hand. This launch proved to be extremely successful and we are very much looking forward to officially launching our new product innovations to the industry at Glasstec 2012.” Pyroguard fire glass solutions provide access to fully EN certified products for use in a wide range of fire rated doors, windows, screens and partitions. These include steel, aluminium and timber frame profiles for use with all common glazing media. To support specifiers and processors in selecting the correct Pyroguard product for a specific system specification, CGI International has developed the online ‘Applications & Tests Selector’. This real-time web tool guides the user to the certified product in just a few clicks, making it quick and easy to specify Pyroguard for any application. David continues: “Fire glass can be a complex specification in any market. That’s why our website is available in all key languages – with a dedicated Applications & Tests Selector for each. We developed the tool in this way to ensure the most up to date test evidence for each country is always available and easy to access.” Spanning E30 through to EI 120, the full range of Pyroguard products can be searched via the Applications and Tests Selector and will be on show for the duration of Glasstec 2012. The technical support provided by CGI International extends much further than the Applications & Tests Selector, with a local technical sales presence in the UK, France, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Members from these teams will be on hand during the four day event to provide expert guidance on the specification and installation of fire glass products as well as practical advice on the use of fire glass and associated building regulations/ legislation in these regions.
