architecture forum 2024: sustainable building over time – join the discussion!

At the architecture forum held as part of glasstec 2024 on 24 October discussions will revolve around relevant questions related to sustainable building: Why are buildings erected and using what materials? Is a new building necessary or can the use of an existing building be changed? Can old buildings be made energy-efficient at an affordable cost? And can a building be planned in such a way from the outset that it is geared up for future challenges? Discussions will focus on these questions.

Glass has become indispensable to architecture. It sets important accents in construction and makes for light, transparency and openness. What’s more, over the past few years architectural glass has developed from being purely a design feature into a genuine high-tech material, which lives up to the requirements of our day and age in many ways. It is no longer just about aesthetic aspects, but above all about functionality, energy efficiency and sustainability. Centre stage at the architecture forum 2024: readiness for circularity and saving resources in new and existing buildings.

glasstec offers a stage dedicated to architectural glass at the architecture forum. This year the focal theme will read: “Sustainable Building:  Innovations for Building Skins and Use of Building Stock”. The speakers will demonstrate how this can be achieved by means of examples.
