Neuhausen-Hamberg (Germany), July 2012. At this year's glasstec / solarpeq trade fair, which will take place in Düsseldorf between October 23 and 26, Bystronic glass will additionally be emphasising the preferred partner cooperation with HEGLA in a spatial manner: the Bystronic glass stand, located in Hall 14 and measuring over 1000 m2 will be situated directly next to that of the cooperation partner, HEGLA. Consequently, customers, where necessary, will be able to conduct joint talks comfortably with experts from both companies.
Bystronic glass will use its exhibition space to present high speed solutions for glass processing in the architectural and automotive glass sectors and will also use it to present innovative solutions for the solar industry. Moderated live presentations of the machines will take place several times a day and will offer visitors deeper insights into the fascinating technologies.
New benchmark in triple I.G. production
The new speed’line for the production of insulating glass will stretch along the entire length of one side of the stand. In addition there will be the speed’sealer, the quick sealing robot that has already been introduced onto the market. This modern production line also includes machinery that allows for the production of triple I.G. units with the fastest possible cycle time: two tps’applicator components that are arranged one after the other for the application of TPS® (Thermo Plastic Spacer) and the speed’assembler, the new press for the quick assembly and gas filling of triple insulating glass units.
Proven, revolutionary technologies
In the laminated glass production sector, customers can obtain information about the eco’lamiline, the new production line, which enables all versions of laminated glass to be produced in an energy-efficient manner – from simple constructions through to complex shaped formats with special films – all on a single system. The eco’convect, the pre-nip system that is proven and continues to be revolutionary, will be on display at the trade fair stand; The integrated, innovative technology enables a homogeneous heat input that is evident in the quality of the end product. And the "eco" part of the product name has not been given by chance: the radiant heater technology of the pre-nip controls the energy consumption to match the size of the laminate, meaning that a small laminate only requires half of the radiant heater output by comparison to a large laminate for example. The convection system also ensures a homogeneous heating in the pre-nip, therefore allowing the rational lamination of highly reflective, coated glasses. The omission of compressed air in the clean room of the eco’lamiline provides both financial and time management savings in respect of the servo technology which is seven times less expensive and offers a further benefits in relation to the environment.
Glass handling – take it easy
In addition to the insulating glass line and the laminated glass pre-nip, customers will also be able to try a selection of rational handling equipment for all flat glass and plate processing sectors for themselves. This also includes the best seller, the Easy-Lift, which has converted customers in the glass processing industry with its rigid guidance and its low own weight since 1998.
In recent years, the handling equipment has also gradually won over large window manufacturers with the flexibility of the frame design and how it can fulfil their requirements.
Quick and precise grinding of automotive glass
In the form of the champ’speed, Bystronic glass has introduced a completely new machine generation for the preprocessing of automotive glass onto the market. It is now also available in the champ’speed 2in1 version, the first machine in the world that can break automotive glass with or without a template on one single machine. In addition to templates that support the glass during the cutting process and ensure a correspondingly high quality of the break edge, the champ’speed 2in1 is equipped with a freely manoeuvrable underlay that aligns itself to the break edges. The customers obtain both functions in one cell and can flexibly switch between breaking with or without a template. This provides them with the opportunity to deploy the machine according to their requirements or orders as well as to optimise their production processes at the same time.
Cost reductions in module production with TPedge
The TPedge module makes an innovative leap into the production of solar modules and will also be on display at the Bystronic glass stand. It is a joint development by Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg and the Bystronic glass Group on the basis of a Fraunhofer patent. The wafer-based solar module can be produced much quicker and much more inexpensively than standard wafer modules. The time and cost savings are a consequence of a simplified modular structure and a completely innovative production technology.
Service – wherever our customers need us
Right from the very first minute, Bystronic glass supports its customers during the project planning. The customer service department is then on hand all over the world for the delivery of spare parts and on-site support. Maintenance contracts and individual training sessions round off the range of services on offer. The expert contact partners will be on hand at the glasstec stand to provide information regarding the Bystronic glass service.
