Installation of an innovative Glass-to-Concrete (G2C) walkway completed

We are excited to announce the completion of the installation of our groundbreaking glass-to-concrete walkway, developed by a team from the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Ghent University (Belgium) with the support of the department of structural adhesives of fischerwerke GmbH & Co (Germany) and vitroplena bv (Belgium).

The demonstrator, named G2C, explores the potential of structurally bonding glass to concrete, presenting a modern alternative to traditional mechanical connections while offering enhanced aesthetical appearance and performance benefits. The prototype showcases several key applications of this innovative bonding technique using ultra-high performance concrete and laminated glass.
