Verallia Lagnieu F1 Container Glass Furnace

Project Summary

Verallia, one of Europe’s leading glass manufacturers, entrusted GTR with the cold repair project of the F1 Container Glass Furnace located at its production facility in France.

The project involved significant technical and operational challenges due to existing infrastructure constraints and the limited layout of the plant. Restricted working space, limited equipment access, and the need for intensive on-site coordination were among the most critical factors shaping the planning process.

GTR developed a custom platform and equipment layout plan tailored to these challenging conditions, ensuring that the project was executed safely, efficiently, and strictly in line with the planned schedule. Within the scope of the project, GTR successfully carried out technological steel procurement, refractory demolition, steel disassembly, refractory and steel installation, cleaning & preparation and heat-up support.

Fully meeting the client’s high expectations regarding technical competency, occupational safety, time management, and workmanship quality, GTR completed the entire project within 60 days, achieving full compliance with international health and safety standards even under demanding on-site conditions.

Result

The project was completed fully on schedule and met all quality targets, and the furnace was successfully commissioned. This implementation once again demonstrated GTR’s international project management discipline, site organization capabilities, and technical expertise.
