RISE IN GLOBAL ELECTRICITY PRICES BOOSTS RENEWABLE ENERGY SELF-CONSUMPTION

The recent power tariffs increase in countries all around the world is changing traditional energy-generation concepts.
Distributed Generation
Spanish consumers have experienced a 61% increase in their electricity bills over the last 5 years, which means 30 extra euros on an average consumption. British Gas announced a rise in gas and electricity prices of 18% and 16%, just eight months after they raised its prices by 7%.

Those are just two examples of a global tendency due to price instability of traditional energy sources, tax increase and spending-cut policies. That´s the reason why more and more users – both companies and households – support a distributed generation model, where energy self-sufficiency will be the bet for future. Under this scenario, each consumer would generate the amount of energy they need, reducing grid dependence.

Generating energy at the point where it is consumed also avoids inefficiencies during distribution, where approximately 15% of the electricity is lost, and fosters the use of clean and sustainable energies.
