Stölzle Glass Group has acquired French glassworks Verreries de Masnières and Bormioli Rocco Valorisation from the Bormioli Rocco Group.
Both sites are situated in the north of France and, according to Stölzle, will suit its glass network built up since the 1990s.
The acquisition became effective on December 31, 2013. The production plant and the decoration facility will be fully integrated into the Stölzle Glass Group, headquartered in Austria.
Stölzle is a manufacturer of packaging glass for Perfumery & Cosmetics, Prestige Spirits, as well as Pharmaceuticals.
It has five European production sites in Austria, France, England, Czech Republic and Poland with respective back-up capabilities.
It has 2000 employees, six cosmetic/extra flint furnaces, two furnaces for amber glass, 39 production lines including several feeder colouration lines, and three in-house decoration facilities (including multi-colour silkscreen printing, hot foil stamping, acid etching, organic spraying, decals,) in France, England and Poland.
