Universal Window and Door Names Tony Muraco President and CEO

Universal Window and Door, a manufacturer of custom window solutions for commercial construction projects, announced yesterday that Tony Muraco will assume the position of president and Chief Executive Officer for the firm, effective immediately. Muraco brings a wealth of experience in domestic and international manufacturing, performance optimization and process change management across a diverse spectrum of industries, including his five years as CEO of Champion Window and Door, from 2006 to 2011. He most recently served as COO for Duro Dyne Corp., a market leader of HVAC products and accessories.

“Tony’s background in sales, operations and finance, as well as his demonstrated track record of improving the performance of an aluminum window manufacturing company, make him the ideal choice to lead Universal,” said Charlotte Broussard, outgoing CEO and owner of the firm.

An advocate of Lean Management principles, Muraco successfully transformed his former company, Duro Dyne Corp., into a more profitable enterprise by streamlining the purchasing process, introducing Lean principles, and negotiating a Manufacturing Licensing Agreement with an associate in Dubai, UAE. He brings firsthand knowledge in working with family owned businesses and guiding those companies through expansion, mergers and acquisitions. He successfully guided Champion Architectural Window and Door through all phases of their 2011 acquisition process.

“I look forward to working with the team at Universal, as well as all of our customers, in growing the company’s portfolio of products. In addition, we will focus our organization efforts on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, quality and consistent on time delivery of products to our customers,” Muraco said.
