Complex freeform shapes are now also possible in tempered glass (fully tempered glass/heat-strengthened glass), as impressively demonstrated by sedak with its new bending technology. The three by six metre glass is biaxially thermally curved over two opposing radii, creating an impressive 3D effect.
The multi-dimensional shape results from multiple curvatures of the glass, previously achievable only through gravity bending. With state-of-the-art glass finishing technology, sedak makes previously unfeasibly complex geometries possible, allowing for the serial production of differently shaped glass panes for ambitious architectural projects.
