Glass for safe and resilient buildings

Climate-related extreme weather events such as hail, heavy rain, heatwaves and storms pose new challenges for buildings and their structural elements. At the same time, protection against burglary, vandalism and sabotage is becoming increasingly important – particularly for public buildings, commercial properties and critical infrastructure.

This special exhibition highlights the contribution that modern glass products, windows, doors and façades can make to resilient buildings. Security is not viewed in isolation: energy efficiency, resource conservation, renovability and recyclability also play a central role.
