WOMEN IN GLASS

Emily Whigham is one of the most experienced moderators in the German-speaking world and has been appearing on international stages, at events, panel discussions, award ceremonies, galas, trade fairs and on television for over 25 years. Her areas of focus include sustainability, innovation, fair trade, female empowerment and culture. She is also active as a podcast host and, as a member of Futurewoman.de, is committed to raising the profile and promoting women in business and society.

Petra Cullmann has been Head of the Operational Trade Fair Business division at Messe Düsseldorf GmbH since 2020 and is responsible for key processes relating to the organisation of trade fairs. Previously, her roles included Global Portfolio Director for Plastics & Rubber and Director of the world’s leading trade fair, K. She gained international experience at Messe Düsseldorf Asia in Singapore and during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.

Gesine Bergmann is Head of the Glass Technology Forum at the VDMA in Frankfurt, where she has been connecting stakeholders in the international glass industry for almost a decade. She has more than 25 years’ experience in the glass and materials industry and combines technical expertise with strategic acumen. She is also involved in standardisation work at CEN and ISO, as well as with the German Society for Glass Technology.

Nancy Mammaro is President and Managing Director of MAPPI International, a company within the Voilàp Group specialising in glass processing technologies. She has been shaping MAPPI’s international development for more than 30 years. In 2026, she was also elected President of GIMAV. Her areas of focus include industrial strategy, international business development, technological innovation and the advancement of the global glass industry.

Christiane Nelles is Chief Executive of the Federal Association of the Glass Industry (Bundesverband Glasindustrie e.V.) and an expert in energy, climate and industrial policy. She has been supporting the glass industry in various specialist and management roles for over 17 years. Her focus is on combining industrial transformation with competitiveness, innovation and sustainability. In doing so, she emphasises practical solutions, strong networks and dialogue between business and politics.

Daniela Mamet has been working for Saint-Gobain Glass for 35 years and has held various roles in sales since 2008. Before moving into sales, she worked in HR and marketing at various Saint-Gobain sites. She is currently responsible for customer support in the DACH region and various export markets as part of the internal sales team. As a long-standing member of the glasstec advisory board, she has provided valuable input for the trade fair from a sales and marketing perspective.

Prof. Dr. Andréa Simone Stucchi de Camargo is a professor of data-driven glass science at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena and head of the Glass Research Division at BAM in Berlin. Her research focuses on innovative glasses, hybrid and composite materials, and AI-supported methods for accelerating glass development. Prior to this, she was a professor at the University of São Paulo for 17 years and is actively involved in international expert committees on glass research.
