The companies Tri-Mer and Group ATP cooperate in the field of heat recovery and are take part at the trade fair glasstec together. Ms. Sicilia of Tri-Mer explains the situation: "We are at glasstec for the first time, because we are expanding into the glass sector at the moment." Ms. Cavazzuti concretizes the field of application: "We can store the heat generated by industrial production processes in energy and make it available to other companies. Since a lot of heat is generated in glass production, we see high potential for our recycling technology." Both women want to use the fair to get as many new business contacts as possible and to become inspirations. Both agree that to be energy efficient is currently more of a priority than ever.

The Munich company is a distributor of the Italian company Pellini SpA. ScreenLine has been on the market for over 20 years and is responsible for Pellini SpA's product lines in the field technical shading systems, integrated insulating glass. The Managing Director states: "We have been at glasstec since the beginning of our company history and of course, delighted to be back. In the meantime, we've used the fair break for product development and are presenting it here." Asked about downward trends in the economy, Mr. Cauti is optimistic. He replies: "We make an important contribution to energy efficiency with our products. I therefore see our industry as crisis-proof."

Mr. Aker has been working in the glass industry since the 1980s. glasstec has accompanied him at all stages of his career. He particularly enjoys his current job. He reports: "Our service is unrivaled. We offer radar technology for refractory monitoring for the glass industry."  The benefit of the application is, for example, a reliable prediction of the quality of a furnace bottom for up to two years. This creates predictability and safety. Mr. Aker continues, "We expanded with our innovation during Corona. Now, after numerous digital meetings, we finally meet in person."

At the end of day one, Mr. Lee is enthusiastic: "It's gone very well for us so far. We had successful meetings. For us, glasstec is the best trade show for international contacts. It's important because we also have a subsidiary in the U.S. and are growing fast." Leader Hardware is a major manufacturer of door hardware, glass hardware and furniture hardware. Mr. Li adds: "I can confirm the positive picture. We were skeptical at first, because the pandemic had changed a lot of things. Our expectations were exceeded by far." Both are also enthusiastic about Düsseldorf's old town and the wide range of gastronomy on offer.

Himmel Technologies includes eight companies from the fields of machine and drive technology, control and regulation technology, to name just a few. For the glass industry, Himmel Technolgies develops and sells transport systems for the hot-end-area. Tobias Bengfort explains the significance: "We are presenting a new machine this year that runs faster and consumes less energy. It is more durable and allows continuous use." The manager is glad that glasstec is back: "The glass industry is like a big family. It's great to finally meet in person again."

PRO-SIGHT come from the north of England and were founded in 2014. The founders have been in the industry much longer and are real experts. They established the company in the field of quality control for glass bottles. Pete Cooper elaborates: "From design, development to production, all activities are based in our company." PRO-SIGHT will be showcasing several new products at our booth. Pete Cooper reports how the show has gone so far: "With it being the first show after the pandemic, it was difficult to predict how well the show would be attended, but it’s been the busiest glasstec yet! Many good meetings, with high demand and interest for our products confirm our decision to attend glasstec."
