Head architect, one of the founder of ov architekti
Štěpán Valouch is one of the two founders of the architectural studio ov architekti in Prague. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture Czech Technical University in 2003 in Alena Šrámková´s studio. Since 2012 he is a faculty member at FA CTU and since 2020 head of the Valouch-Stibral studio. Together with Jiří Opočenský they founded the studio in 2007 and since then the team has grown into a medium size with more than 18 team members. Over the years the studio has designed several family houses and smaller administrative and social buildings as the Lasvit headquarters and the social building in Slavonice, both of which were nominated for the European Mies van der Rohe Award. In recent years, the studio has been involved in larger projects and participated in public tenders such as education buildings, sport halls and transport terminals. Currently, the studio is working on the new high-speed terminal in Prague-Nehvizdy, an apartment building in Hradec Králové, an elementary school in Prague and a new bus terminal in Úvaly, among other projects for private clients.
