Equipment and Technology for Flexible Electronics Manufacturing with Flexible Glass
The talk will discuss specific equipment aspects that need to be considered for the R2R handling of flexible glass, both in general and by taking the example of a roll-to-roll lab coating system, which has been designed specifically for handling flexible glass.
Furthermore, it will be shown how different processes such as R2R sputtering can be used for potential flexible glass applications in flexible electronics, architecture, and energy conversion devices.
Dr. Andreas Nilsson has a Ph.D. in Material Science from the Technical University of Dresden on the industrialization of the manufacturing of ceramic superconductors. His MS degrees in Materials Engineering from the INPL in France and the University of Saarland in Germany on his work on CVD processes for electrical applications and components. Andreas is Vice President at VON ARDENNE for the web coater business unit. Previous work at VON ARDENNE has been as a Strategic Business Development Manager.
