The Series G Silk Screen Printing Machine is composed of an entry squaring conveyor, the printing machine body and an exit synchronized conveyor. All machine functions are driven by a PLC, controlled through easy to use operator touch panel. Recipes system to store/recall the production data for an auto setup of the machine. The machine has a firm structure with specially treated aluminum made printing table.
The Series G is equipped with a walking beam transport system and an auto centering system, centering glasses on their mid line. The glass is registered by a 6 pins centering system, as option, the centering pins can be motorized to allow an easier setup when printing asymmetrical glasses. The system consists of two cross shaped holders with a vacuum cups system. This allows to center one glass and to print another one at the same time.
Constant squeegee pressure during printing, thanks to a highly sensitive control system able to compensate automatically any change of thickness of the printing surface.
The machine is built with high quality and efficiency materials, thus the maintenance operations are extremely reduced. All machine parts that require maintenance are easy accessible.
The drying technology of Cugher IR Dryer is of mixed type: it combines the effectiveness of the Infrared lamps and the air blades, in order to distribute the heat uniformly and obtain a better and quicker drying up of the ink. The IR lamps are located in the upper part of the dryer which is made of stainless steel, glasses are transferred by special Kevlar belts. Typically the dryer is composed of two hot and two cold modules with a total length of 8,2 mt. Each module is equipped with 9 to 12 IR lamps with double filament and golden reflector. The hot and the cold zones are separated in order to avoid any heat exchange. The thermal insulation system is one of the best and most advanced nowadays as it combines good insulation efficiency and a good resistance to thermal shocks. A minimum thermal inertia allows a quick temperature raise of the dryer and reduces the energy consumption in case of non-continuous functioning. The conveyor speed can be regulated up to 12 mt/min, guaranteeing a glass temperature (standard) at exit 30°C above the ambient temperature. With the additional cooling unit (chiller) we can ensure a considerable decrease of this temperature, enabling the execution of subsequent prints on the line.
The top of the UV Dryer is composed of hoods, where the lamps are located in appropriate parabolas made of extruded aluminum whose internal surface is processed in a mode which allows to increase the reflecting power. The dryer has a robust structure of electro-galvanized metal sheets which can resist to an intensive utilization. The glasses are transferred by means of a special Kevlar mat, driven by an a.c. motor controlled by an inverter. Dedicated anti-reflection shields, placed on the dryer’s inlet and outlet, have been installed to protect the operators from the UV radiations allowing safe operations. The dryer us equipped with a sensor system which turns it off and activates the alarm system in case of overheating. A particular attention is dedicated to the realization of an innovative digital control system for the management of the lamps and their power. Due to its new technology our UV Digital Dryer is capable to save approximately 8.140kW per year and increase the productivity by 7%! (calculation is based on standard work load conditions: 8h/day, 220days/year, lamp 17kW/h, 30% stand by time).
