Low NOx Gas Burner The VitroGLO-UP is a Low NOx gas burners for application to a Regenerative Glass Melting Furnace. These burners are designed to operate at a low gas supply pressures, and provide a highly luminous adjustable flame within the melting furnace. A key feature of the VitroGLO-UP Gas Burner is that the flame length is adjustable (by up to 30%) by means of proportioning the velocities of two concentric gas jets in the visible flame, thus optimising the flame length within the furnace with ease and without the need to change the gas nozzles. On the VitroGLO-UP gas burner, this is controlled by adjusting a calibrated adjustment sleeve at the back of the burner.

Throughport Gas Burner
These water cooled burners are designed to be inserted into the port neck of a regenerative glass furnace. The burners are fitted to the Global Combustion Systems retraction mechanism, which is used to withdraw the burner from the port when not firing. The use of throughport burners with the retraction mechanism provides stable reproducible combustion conditions, essential for high glass quality.
These burners are fitted with two multi-holed nozzles angled to converge with each other creating a fan shaped flame. This flame configuration requires only one burner to be installed on each port. The flame vertical position can be easily adjusted, ensuring that combustion is taking place in the optimum position within the furnace. This burner is interchangeable with Global Combustions Throughport Oil Burner (VitroOIL-TP).
Throughport Oil Burner Designed to be inserted into the port neck of a regenerative glass furnace, these burners are fitted to the Global Combustion Systems retraction mechanism, which is used to withdraw the burner from the port when not firing. The use of throughport burners with the retraction mechanism provides stable combustion conditions, essential for glass quality. For short operating periods, it is possible to use these burners with a simple fixed mounting bracket.
These burners are fitted with conical flame nozzles. There can be one, two or three burners installed on each port, or a single burner with a twin nozzle fitted. A purge valve is used with each burner to remove oil from the nozzle after firing.
The retraction mechanism operates with a pneumatic cylinder, and ensures perfect alignment without the need for adjustment during operation. Angle, horizontal and vertical adjustments are available with this mechanism.
