Glass identification requirements and increasingly regulations in the field of glass for the building industry make the glass marking an important factor today. Marker 101T, EasymarkerUP and Easymarker EV represent the ideal solution for every marking requirement, ensuring a clear and permanent mark on ant type of glass.
Some legislations require that the mark on glass surface must be visible
In the USA, for example, there are also standards for safety glazing materials used for all buildings and architectural purposes (eg. ANSI Z97.1-2015)
, as well as in Australia and New Zealand where all safety glass is required to be marked indelibly (eg. NZS New Zealand building code) reporting the name of the manufacturer / distributor, the reference standard used for the tests (eg. AS / NZS 2208
) and the classification of the glass. Additional data may also be required, as for example the license number.
The marking is normally carried out in the bottom left corner
. The mark can be also carried out on the edge of the glass if the thickness allows it, but it must be legible also after installation. Removable labels of any kind are not suitable for the purposes of permanent marking.
The simplest and most economical device to carry out a high-quality permanent mark on glass is MARKER 101T
, a portable sand jet marker equipped with a customized highly abrasion resistant stainless steel mask. The marking process can be automated through the installation of the EV automatic marking equipments EASYMARKER UP
and EASYMARKER EV, designed to be combined with horizontal machinery (glass tempering furnaces, cutting tables, horizontal washing machines, etc.) and vertical machines ( double glazing, vertical washing machines, etc.) respectively.
