Flatness measurement for rough plate metal - alpha.fi

Typical rough plate metal, for instance for large pipes, pipelines, mobile cranes, ships and platforms for wind power plants with its dimensions of several 10 square meters has a total weight of several tons. The most frequent reason for reclamation is a flatness requirement which has not been complied with. The flatness of every manufactured metal plate in the production line is subjected to contactless inspection by an automatic flatness measuring system.
A 3D presentation shows the measured flatness. After the passage it is directly shown on the control panel. Through feedback of the measurement results into the process management additional cost-intensive er-rors in the production are avoided. nokra’s flatness measuring systems are fitted with an automatic function for adjusting and monitoring (measuring capability proof in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001).

alpha.1d – pinpoint precision and speed

alpha.1d sensors measure the distance to the object to be inspected. Like a measuring probe they provide one-dimensional distance information. The contactless measurement enables numerous possibilities for use. The special capability: the measurement is made with highest precision and speed. The thickness of a measured object can be measured by synchronized alpha.1d sensors. Compliance with shape and position tolerances is tested by combining alpha.1d sensors with positioning systems.
alpha.1d sensors are available with different working distances and measuring areas. For measuring hot objects the sensor is fitted with a cooling system.

Inspection of automotive glass with alpha.ws

Laser triangulation can be used to measure the surface curvature of glass lites, which is particularly important in automotive glass manufacturing. The alpha.ws system measures independent of temperature and thus enables 100% inspection, even immediately after the bending furnace. The early stage inspection of the curvature of the glass surface is an essential part of a cost-effective value chain, especially with complex curvature geometry and narrow tolerance fields. Rejects are not further processed and production costs are reduced.
