Product category: Inspection systems, Float and mirror glass
Eagle-I is the industry leading cut plate inspection system for float glass, offering full conveyor coverage for mainline, side leg and offline applications. It allows for the automatic inspection and rejection of all bad glass to user-defined tolerances with minimal operator intervention.
Eagle-I+ extends functionality to a fully redundant configuration at optimal cost in a minimum of space.
Cut plate inspection tests include:
Dimensional verification of width and length Squareness errors Plates skewed on the conveyor Broken or missing plates Snap fails Corner and edge defects Shells and flares detection on both top and bottom surfaces Fault marks Benefits:
Improved operational efficiency Faster tracing of defects Reduced wastage Yield maximisation Detailed statistical information Ease of installation Low maintenance Stand-alone or redundant configurations
MIRRORED GLASS INSPECTION AG provides full cut plate inspection capabilities as per the Eagle-I system, but is optimised to also allow for pinhole detection in mirrored glass. Defects may be detected in the silver layer both paint layers.
Mirrored glass inspection tests include:
Verify glass integrity Pinhole detection in the silver layer before any base coats are applied Paint defect detection in either paint layer Benefits:
Allows coating problems to be detected at the earliest possible stage Improved operational efficiency Reduced wastage Yield maximisation

IQ powder measurement online
IQ provides a consistent, reliable, and safe means of measuring interleavant powder coverage at a frequent interval, offering measurements of:
Number of particles of each type (beads or acid) Area coverage by particle type Total mass of powder by particle type Density of powder by particle type
The system is available in a range of configurations using either trundling or static cameras to provide full conveyor coverage or point readings. The modular design and tight hardware/software integration employed within the IQ system ensures that the required functionality for interleavant powder coverage measurement is delivered at an optimal cost.
IQ offers the following features:
Detailed visual data with real-time measurement display Data and statistics across time ranges Full integration with plant control equipment and plant networks Feedback to plant to allow closed loop control of powder applicators
Inspection Systems has worked in float glass inspection since the late 1980s and the Eagle-I system was one of the first cut plate glass inspection systems brought to market. We now have over 80 automated vision systems across 6 continents, serving clients such as the Pilkington NSG Group, Guardian Industries Corp, Cardinal FG, AGC North America and the PFG Group.
Our equipment is integrated to plant from companies such as Grenzebach, Bottero, Bystronic and the ICAP Group and offers functionality ranging from the measurement of powder particles to jumbo plates and from the automatic rejection of bad glass to robot stacking of good glass.
