S1de ONE lead-free glass colors

S1de ONE lead-free glass colors have extremely high chemical and weathering resistance compared with traditional flat glass enamels. These colors are ideal for first surface applications in most situations where the decoration is applied to glass exterior surfaces directly exposed to the elements.

Ferro's S1de ONE lead-free weather resistant glass colors are ideal for architectural glass and produce interesting designs for kitchen work surfaces.

Compared to conventional flat glass enamels applied on surface 2 and viewed through the glass, S1de ONE enamels provide architects with a much wider range of design possibilities and special effects. Our durable colors produce replicating effects such as wood, stone and metal and are now within reach for the architectural designer. S1de ONE also enables the creation of different surface textures such as matt and semi-matt in combination with the natural transparency of glass.

Forehearth colors technology (FHC)

Our forehearth colors technology (FHC) allows for the production of almost all colors produced in the tank. FHC delivers many advantages over the traditional method of in-tank coloration, such as improved productivity, greater flexibility, lower inventory, lower shipping costs and reduced energy consumption. Forehearth colors are specifically formulated for use in cosmetic bottles, beverage bottles, tableware and architectural glass.

Ferro’s SpecTruLite™ HTP

Ferro’s SpecTruLite™ HTP Series of  hot melt organic thermoplastic inks offer decorators and designers a wide range of opaque standard colors that covers the Pantone spectrum. We also offer other ink options, including CMYK-equivalent inks, special effect inks, metallic effects inks and frosts as well as many existing commercial brand color matches. 

Greater Cost Savings  

Our hot melt organic inks are a ready-to-use, single-component formulation designed for multi-print glass decoration and do not require a white underlayer, reducing the amount of white color needed, enabling cost savings.  As these inks cure at a lower temperature than ceramic inks, less energy is used for heating. They can also be used on the existing printing machines and equipment already used with traditional inorganic glass enamels.

SpecTruLite hot melt organic inks dry immediately after printing, allowing the next print to be instantly applied when using a high-speed multi-color decoration machine.
